01For UK MGAs

Price on data you can trust.

Karasu fixes the policy, claims and bordereaux data UK MGAs price from, so your underwriters stop checking it by hand before they trust a number.

02

The problem

Most pricing and reporting problems at MGAs turn out to be data problems, and usually nobody owns the data.

Pricing speed

Repricing lags the market because nobody trusts the underwriting data until someone has checked it by hand.

Bordereaux

Bordereaux arrive late or don't reconcile, and your capacity providers start asking questions you can't answer quickly.

Fair value

Consumer Duty evidence takes too long to pull together, and the numbers don't always agree with each other.

03

What we measure

We agree a baseline with you before any work starts, then measure the same thing the same way at handover.

Days to repriceFrom a pricing change being agreed to it being live.
Record rejection rateShare of incoming policy, claims or bordereaux records that fail validation.
Bordereaux turnaroundDays from period end to a reconciled bordereau your capacity providers accept.
Analyst hours freedHours a month no longer spent reconciling, against the baseline week.
Loss ratioThis takes 12 to 24 months to move, which is longer than any engagement. We'll measure it with you a year on, but we won't promise it.
04

Then AI

Once the data holds up, we can put AI on top of it. It runs in your environment and gets measured the same way as everything else.

Where it might start
  1. aReading broker submissions into a structured risk record.
  2. bTriaging bordereaux exceptions.
  3. cDrafting pricing-change notes for an underwriter to review.

We judge it on hours saved and error rates against the baseline. An accuracy score with nothing to compare it to doesn't tell you much.

05

You own it

Everything we build sits in your own cloud. If you stop working with us, you keep all of it.

That goes for the data and the AI. It's stored in open formats that any of the big data platforms can read. The technical detail is on the page for your CTO.

How it starts

Two weeks · fixed price

The data map

A short list of decisions with a rough £ value on each, and the smallest piece of work that gets you the most valuable one.

Scoped from the findings

The first release

We build that one piece and check it against the baseline before starting anything else.

At handover

The same measurement

We measure again, the same way as before. We don't charge day rates, so running over earns us nothing.
